Abstract

La infección por VIH en niños presenta un amplio espectro de manifestaciones clínicas, desde formas asintomáticas hasta presentaciones severas que incluyen infecciones secundarias, alteraciones neurológicas y cáncer. Este estudio describe los criterios diagnósticos empleados en 24 niños con infección por VIH, atendidos en el Hospital Infantil de México, que se adscriben a los criterios diagnósticos propuestos por los Centros para el Control de Enfermedades (CDC) de los Estados Unidos.
