Alteraciones psicológicas asociadas a la obesidad infantil

Abstract

Con el objetivo de identificar las principales alteraciones psicológicas asociadas a la obesidad pediátrica, se realizó una revisión de los artículos publicados en las bases de datos Medline, LILACS, SciELO, Redalyc y los encontrados a través de Google académico. Se ha encontrado relación entre la obesidad en niños y el temperamento de reactividad negativa, actitudes y términos negativos por parte de otros niños, insatisfacción corporal, distorsión de la imagen corporal por parte de los progenitores, bullying, ansiedad, depresión, baja autoestima y trastornos de comportamiento alimentario. Aunque hay cierto grado de conocimiento, se requieren más y mejores estudiossobre el tema.
