Hipocalcemia severa por deficiencia de vitamina D en una adulta mayor

La deficiencia de vitamina D es una condición de muy alta prevalencia en adultos mayores y puede presentarse como hipocalcemia sintomática. Se presenta un caso de una mujer de 75 años con convulsiones generalizadas por hipocalcemia con función renal y paratiroidea normales en la que se demostró niveles deficientes de vitamina D.
