Abstract

El quilotórax consiste en la acumulación del líquido linfático del conducto torácico o de sus vasos afluentes en la cavidad pleural; no es una condición común (1). Existen varias causas de quilotórax, siendo una de ellas la traumática, la cual puede resultar de un traumatismo directo al conducto torácico o como complicación de cirugía o procedimientos intratorácicos.
