Abstract

Revisar el pasado histórico toda vez que se trate de hechos muchas veces estudiados constituye un reto pues se exige, en estos casos, planteamientos originales o inéditos. Pues bien, con motivo de conmemorar el V Centenario del Encuentro de Dos Mundos vamos a
presentar un estudio analítico desde el punto de vista médico de algunos aspectos, muy interesantes por cierto, que describieron los llamados cronistas, aquellos que escribieron las crónicas, tuvieron una serie de dificultades para apreciar e interpretar lo que observaron o recogieron de boca de los indianos.
