Abstract

La descripción de la depresión es tan antigua como la historia. Desde Hipócrates hasta la actualidad ha tenido una evolución epistemológica y clínica, donde los síntomas somáticos son frecuentes y ocupan un lugar preferencial en el trastorno vital. Sin embargo, la depresión permanece aún poco conocida por la mayoría de las personas y mal conocida por la mayoría de los médicos.
