Intervention in visual perception skills and visual-motor coordination for reading and writing processes in patients with cerebrovascular accident sequelae

This report describes the rehabilitation from occupational therapy of a patient with cerebrovascular accident sequelae. The aim is to show the intervention process in occupational therapy and the visual therapy techniques used in the training of visuoperceptual skills through a perceptual-cognitive approach to improve reading and writing processes. The intervention process included planning, implementation and evaluation of results. After the intervention, an improvement in the basic visuoperceptual skills necessary for reading and writing is evidenced.
